چکیده

Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) is a well-known approach for correlating the failure modes of a system to their effects, with the objective of assessing their criticality. The criticality of a failure mode is traditionally established by its risk priority number (RPN), which is the product of the scores assigned to the three risk factors, which are likeness of occurrence, the chance of being undetected and the severity of the effects. Taking a simple ‘‘unweighted’’ product has major shortcomings. One of them is to provide just a number, which does not sort failures modes into priority classes. Moreover, to make the decision more robust, the FMEA is better tackled by multiple decision-makers. Unfortunately, the literature lacks group decision support systems (GDSS) for sorting failures in the field of the FMEA. In this paper, a novel multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) method named FlowSort-GDSS is proposed to sort the failure modes into priority classes by involving multiple decision-makers. The essence of this method lies in the pair-wise comparison between the failure modes and the reference profiles established by the decision-makers on the risk factors. Finally a case study is presented to illustrate the advantages of this new robust method in sorting failures. 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Soft Computing-based New Interval-valued Pythagorean Triangular Fuzzy Multi-criteria Group Assessment Method without Aggregation: Application to a Transport Projects Appraisal

In this paper, an interval-valued Pythagorean triangular fuzzy number (IVPTFN) as a useful tool to handle decision-making problems with vague quantities is defined. Then, their operational laws are developed. By introducing a novel method of making a decision on the concept of possibility theory, a multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problem is considered, in which the attribute value...

Group Decision Support System Based on Enhanced AHP for Tender Evaluation

Application of model base in group decision making that makes up a Group Decision Support System (GDSS) is of paramount importance. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is the multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) that has been applied in GDSS. In order to be effectively used in GDSS, AHP needs to be customized so that it is more user friendly with ease of used features. In this paper, we propose a...

A Decision Support System for Urban Journey Planning in Multimodal Public Transit Network

The goal of this paper is to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) as a journey planner in complex and large multimodal urban network called Rahyar. Rahyar attempts to identify the most desirable itinerary among all feasible alternatives. The desirability of an itinerary is measured by a disutility function, which is defined as a weighted sum of some criteria. The weight...
